Come sing with us!

Charlotte Community Singers is an intergenerational, non-auditioned folk choir whose purpose is to promote peace through music.  The group's main focus is building community through music.  We sing songs with messages of:

                                Love
                                    Respect
                                        Hope
                                            Kindness
                                                Acceptance
                                                    Friendship
                                                        Diversity

We have fun singing together and expanding our musical horizons with songs from many styles and cultures.  We share our message through performances and sing-alongs.

Typically, we practice three Tuesday evenings each month, 7-8:30 PM, at Sharon Presbyterian Church, 5201 Sharon Rd., Charlotte, NC.  (Click here for map.)  The other Tuesday of the month, we usually sing in the community, whether at a nursing home, a homeless shelter, a farmers' market, or some other venue. See below for a listing of our 2012 community singings.

While many of our songs are a cappella, accompaniments may include guitar, ukulele, hammered dulcimer, keyboard, and other acoustic instruments.
